Former Al-Ahly President Reveals Who is Responsible for the Club's Relegation

Prince Fahd bin Khalid, the former president of Al-Ahli Club, blamed previous administrations and the technical staff for the team's relegation to the Yelo League for first division clubs, emphasizing that the crisis was not a fleeting moment.

He explained that what happened was the result of administrative and technical accumulations that directly affected the team's results and led to this historic decline.

He pointed out that the responsibility does not lie with one party alone, but also includes the previous administration led by Majed Al-Nefaie and Mohammed Al-Muhaini, in addition to the technical staff at that stage.

The former Al-Ahly president emphasized that a series of repeated mistakes within the club contributed to the deterioration of results, not just a single match or an individual decision.

He pointed out that the size, history, and large fan base of Al-Ahly made its relegation a strong and unexpected shock in the sports community.

He emphasized the importance of a comprehensive review of that phase from all administrative and technical aspects to draw lessons and avoid repeating mistakes in the future.

He concluded that Al-Ahly went through a difficult phase, but later managed to return to the professional league and regain its position among the competitors for championships.
