Mostafa Ziko: I Strongly Wish to Participate in the World Cup
Mostafa "Zico," a player for the Egyptian national team, expressed his great happiness with his first participation with the Egypt national team and scoring a goal in the friendly match against Russia.
The Egyptian national team defeated the Russian national team 1-0 in a friendly match held yesterday, Thursday, at Cairo International Stadium.
Zico said in a television interview on "On Time Sports" channel: "I had a meeting with Hossam Hassan, the coach of the Egyptian national team, and he talked to me about the reasons for my selection to the Pharaohs' squad. I strongly wish to participate in the World Cup, as these are things I never dreamed would happen."
He added, "I always prefer playing inside the penalty area, as I have been trained and accustomed to these balls for two years under the guidance of coach Magdy Abdel-Aaty."
