Perez: The Future of Real Madrid Passes Through This Sextet, and I Haven't Spoken with Mourinho

Florentino Perez spoke in a television interview with the Spanish channel TVE about the upcoming elections within Real Madrid. He also touched on several important files concerning the future of the club, the upcoming coach, as well as the Negreira case and the renewal of star contracts.

Perez spoke about his decision to call for presidential elections: "I love Real Madrid a lot, and if I feel that someone is trying to target the club, I will always be here. I have noticed for some time movements in the shadows aimed at destabilizing the club by targeting me personally, and since the club belongs to the members, I have called for elections. Whoever wants to run can do so. They are the same people associated with the Ramon Calderon period, the darkest phase in the club's history."

Regarding the controversy related to the loan from Cox company managed by candidate Enrique Riquelme, he said: "There are those who say he requested a loan with an interest rate of 54% annually. How can that happen? I am just repeating what Bloomberg published, I am not making anything up."

He also attacked his rival Enrique Riquelme, saying: "He seems to have come because he needs the club for his company. He can talk as he wants, but there will be no debate between him and me."

On the accusations related to the attempt to privatize the club, he said: "This is talk repeated by those with bad intentions. We have been attacked a lot. The Spanish league association wanted to take part of our revenues to distribute it to everyone, and we managed to stop that. The only way to protect the club's legacy is for its value to remain owned by the members, and if a member dies, the value of his membership should be transferred to his children."

He continued about his right-hand man at the club, Anas Laghrari, saying: "They say he wants to become the club's president, but he doesn't even have the required number of years for that. He is just helping us. His knowledge of football is limited, but he provides us with great support in the technological aspect."

He added: "With Apple's cooperation, saying: 'It's a real revolution, anyone in the world, whether in the mountains or in their home, will be able to wear special glasses and enjoy a unique experience as if they are actually inside the Bernabeu. It will take us to a new dimension.'"

Regarding the identity of the new coach: "I am already thinking about the next coach, I have a name, maybe two. Jose Mourinho is certainly a good coach, but I will not announce anything, and I have not spoken with him yet."

He also spoke about the future of Brazilian Vinicius Junior, whose contract ends in the summer of 2027, saying: "I don't know what will happen, but if you ask me my opinion, I hope he stays because he is one of the best players in the world."

On the future of the team: "Kylian Mbappe, Vinicius, and Jude Bellingham are the future, along with Arda Guler, Federico Valverde, and Aurelien Tchouameni. These are the best in the world, and everyone knows that I always contract with the best, and a good coach will make them live a great era with Real Madrid."

He concluded his talk by addressing the Negreira case, saying: "I am continuing to the end in this case, and whoever thinks I have forgotten it is wrong. I will go this week to the Champions League final at the invitation of the UEFA president, and I will present him with a complete file we have worked on for three years. It is the biggest corruption case in football history."
