Officially, José Gomes as Coach for Al-Khaleej

Al-Khaleej Club announced the resolution of the head coach position for the new season, having reached an official agreement with Portuguese Jose Gomes to lead the team in the upcoming phase.

Gulf announced through its official account on the "X" platform that it has signed a two-season contract with the Portuguese coach to take over the technical supervision of the first football team.

Gulf officials hope to leverage Gomez's extensive experience in Saudi and Arab stadiums to build a more stable and competitive team for the upcoming season.

The Portuguese coach has a long career in Saudi football, having previously coached Al-Ahli, Al-Taawoun, and Al-Fateh, during which he achieved notable technical success in multiple stints.

Gomez also succeeded in making a strong name for himself with Egypt's Zamalek, after leading the team to win the CAF Confederation Cup in the 2023-2024 season, in addition to clinching the CAF Super Cup in 2024.

Gulf fans are eagerly anticipating the team to perform differently under the new coach, especially with the early moves by the management in preparation for the start of the 2026-2027 season.
