Doubts About Mastantonio's Inclusion in Argentina's List

Doubts continue to surround the position of young Argentine star Franco Mastantonio regarding his inclusion in the final squad for Argentina's World Cup team, after coach Lionel Scaloni confirmed that the coaching staff is still reviewing some files before finalizing the list.

Scaloni said in a press statement: "We still have some doubts that we will resolve in the coming days," referring to names that have not yet been finalized, with Mastantonio at the top of that list.

According to reports, the young Real Madrid player joined the national team's camp in Buenos Aires in recent days in an attempt to convince the coaching staff to secure his place among the 26-player squad.

Although Mastantonio's physical condition is described as excellent, the chances of his exclusion remain possible for technical reasons rather than medical ones. This is especially true as there are voices within the Argentine federation that believe it is necessary to handle the player calmly and give him enough time to gradually develop within the national team.

On the other hand, Mastantonio's chances may increase if the absence of some injured players is confirmed, particularly Gonzalo Montiel, Nahuel Molina, and Nico Gonzalez.
