Fire Disrupts Belgium National Team Preparations Before the World Cup

The fire led to the disruption of activities at the Belgian Federation's training center, and the press conference for player Matias Fernandez-Bardo was canceled amid precautionary measures imposed by local authorities after suspecting the presence of hazardous materials in the rising smoke, with no injuries reported.

Reports indicated that the fire caused the release of toxic asbestos particles into the air, prompting local authorities to minimize activity in the area, with expectations for the national team's training to resume normally the following day.

On the other hand, striker Romelu Lukaku spoke about Belgium's chances in the World Cup, stating that the team is not among the top contenders for the title, describing it as an "outside competitor." He also noted that he might not start the tournament as a main player due to his decreased readiness after a tough season.
