Saudi National Team Arrives in New York in Preparation for the World Cup

The Saudi national team's delegation has arrived in New York City, USA, coming from the capital, Riyadh, to begin the final phase of their preparatory program for participating in the 2026 World Cup.

The "Green" team is undergoing an external training camp that will last until the end of May, as part of an intensive technical plan aimed at preparing the players in the best possible way before the anticipated global event.

The camp will include a friendly match against the Ecuador national team on May 30, at the "Sports Illustrated" stadium in Harrison, New Jersey, as an important test for the coaching staff before the tournament.

The Saudi national team delegation was received at John F. Kennedy International Airport by the Consul General in New York, Abdullah bin Mohammed Al-Hamdan, along with Deputy Consul Abdullah Al-Fawzan, where all arrival procedures were facilitated.

The President of the Saudi Arabian Football Federation, Yasser Al-Misehal, made sure to extend his gratitude to the officials at the Saudi Consulate in New York, in appreciation of the support provided to the delegation since its arrival in the United States of America.

The Saudi national team is expected to begin its training on Tuesday evening at the New York City FC training center, as part of the technical and physical program approved for the current training camp period.

The national team's coaching staff hopes to enhance the players' readiness and reach the best possible condition before competing in the 2026 World Cup, amid great public aspirations for a strong and distinguished performance.
