Mourinho Identifies the Transfers Needed at Real Madrid

Portuguese coach José Mourinho has begun outlining his potential project with Real Madrid, despite his return not being officially confirmed yet, as the club awaits the results of the presidential elections scheduled to take place in the coming days.

Real Madrid's management is currently working on preparing the new sports project led by candidates Florentino Pérez and Enrique Riquelme, amid ongoing talks about an agreement between Florentino Pérez and Mourinho to take over the team if he wins the elections.

The Spanish newspaper 'AS' explained that the potential agreement between the two parties includes a contract extending for two seasons, with an option to extend for an additional year if the Portuguese coach succeeds in winning the La Liga title.

The newspaper added that Mourinho has prepared an early technical report in which he identified the positions he believes need strengthening within the team in preparation for the next season, even though his future with the club has not been officially decided yet.

The Portuguese coach desires to sign one or two central defenders to strengthen the backline, along with acquiring a right-back and a left-back.

Mourinho has also prioritized strengthening the midfield, requesting the signing of a defensive midfielder, in addition to a player with creative playmaking abilities, a position deemed essential by the technical management in the anticipated new project within Real Madrid.
