Mariska Signs with Manchester City

Manchester City has finalized the signing of Italian Enzo Maresca to take over as the new head coach of the team, succeeding Spaniard Pep Guardiola, who left the position at the end of the season.

Italian journalist Fabrizio Romano confirmed that Maresca signed a contract for three years, extending his stay with Manchester City until June 2029.

The report clarified that the agreement between the two parties includes Mariska's full involvement in developing the club's transfer strategy in the upcoming period, as part of the management's plan to build a new phase project following Guardiola's departure.

Mariska has prior knowledge of the Manchester City atmosphere, having worked as an assistant to Guardiola during the 2022-2023 season, which saw the team win the historic treble. He also previously worked within the club's youth academy in the 2020-2021 season.
