Al-Zawraa Nears Finalizing Bassem Qasim's File

Al-Zawraa Club has entered the decisive stage in the file of the new coach, after its negotiations with Bassem Qasim reached very advanced stages, amid strong indications of the veteran coach's return to lead the Nawras in the upcoming season.

Sources close to the management confirmed that the agreement is almost complete, and the official signing may take place in the coming days, closing the chapter of the current coach Louay Salah, who apologized for continuing with the team due to the decline in results and performance in recent weeks.

Bassem Qasim is not a stranger to the walls of Al-Shaab Stadium. The coach has previously led Al-Zawraa on more than one occasion, leaving a clear mark with the team before moving on to coach other clubs, most notably Al-Shorta and Al-Quwa Al-Jawiya, alongside an experience with the Iraqi national team.

The anticipated return comes at a sensitive time, as the Nawras seeks a coach with extensive local experience and the ability to quickly restore technical stability, after a fluctuating season that cost the team the competition for the title and an early exit from some commitments.
