Beşiktaş Competes with Fenerbahçe to Sign Jesus

The Portuguese Jorge Jesus has caught the attention of major Turkish clubs recently, following increased speculation about his future with Al-Nassr after the end of last season.

Turkish press reports revealed that the Beşiktaş management has begun serious moves to negotiate with Jesus, in an attempt to finalize the new head coach's file before the preparations for the next season begin.

The Turkish newspaper "Milliyet" indicated that Beşiktaş officials wish to hire a foreign coach with extensive experience, capable of bringing the team back to competing for local and continental championships.

The name Jesus appears on a shortlist that includes several prominent coaches, most notably the Spaniard Ernesto Valverde, the Frenchman Bruno Genesio, and the Australian Ange Postecoglou.

The chances of the Portuguese coach moving to the Turkish league increased after reports suggested his potential departure from Al-Nassr, despite leading the team to win the Saudi Pro League title last season.

The interest was not limited to Beşiktaş alone, as Fenerbahçe continues its attempts to bring back Jesus, especially with the support of presidential candidate Aziz Yildirim for the idea of his return to the club.

The reports confirmed that Jesus prioritizes returning to Fenerbahçe, but he has not closed the door on Beşiktaş's offer, as he awaits the resolution of several matters in the coming days.
