Al-Ittihad Considers Releasing Fabinho

The management of Al-Ittihad Club is moving towards making significant changes to the team's foreign roster during the summer transfer window, amid reports confirming a tendency to part ways with Brazilian star Fabinho at the end of the current season.

According to the Saudi newspaper "Al-Riyadiyah," Al-Ittihad's management does not intend to renew Fabinho's contract, which expires in June 2026. This suggests that his journey with "Al-Ameed" is nearing its end after two seasons in the Saudi Roshn League.

This approach is part of a comprehensive plan to reorganize the team technically after a disappointing season in which the club failed to win any championships, either locally or continentally.

Fabinho joined Al-Ittihad in the summer of 2023, coming from Liverpool in a massive deal estimated at around 50 million euros. During his time with the team, he successfully contributed to winning the league title and the King's Cup in the 2024/25 season.

Previous reports have indicated interest from Brazilian clubs in the player's services, most notably Palmeiras and Fluminense, which could facilitate his departure during the upcoming transfer window.
