Bruno Fernandes: We Need Stability, Optimistic About the Future with Carrick

Sunday 24-05-2026
Portuguese player Bruno Fernandes of Manchester United spoke after his team's 3-0 victory over Brighton in the 38th and final round of the English Premier League.

Bruno Fernandes said: "It's a very important step for our club. We need stability in terms of management, and since Michael came to the club, I knew how he works. I have worked with him before, and he is a very calm person who brings calmness to the team, but at the same time, he knows when to put the necessary pressure on us, and he does that as well."

He added: "He knows the club well, understands what it means, and what it takes to be part of this club. We are very excited about what's coming, as we always have been. As I said, we finished the season strongly, and that's a good sign for what's ahead."

In another statement, Bruno Fernandes said: "It's a great feeling, I'm very happy to break the assist record. It's a moment of pride for me. I wasn't thinking about it until I got close, and today I was lucky to achieve it."

He continued: "Jon Evans had more faith in me for the set-piece we prepared for Patrick Dorgu. I wasn't sure if Patrick would be able to score with a header, but he did, and in the end, I got the assist and I'm happy about that."

He continued: "The most important thing is that we won today and finished the season strongly. It was special to be among the big names that made Premier League history. They are two players who made the league incredibly exciting and were among the greatest players in its history."

He concluded his remarks by saying, "Breaking the record adds a lot to football, but it doesn't change anything about my goals or what I want in the future."
