Katchamani Nominated for First Appearance with Italy National Team

The young Italian player Alessio Cacciamani from the club Juve Stabia, active in the Italian second division, is expected to receive his first call-up to the Italian national team in preparation for the upcoming friendly matches against Luxembourg and Greece during the next international break.

According to Italian reports, the coaching staff of the national team, led by Silvio Baldini, is considering relying on a large group of young talents during the June matches, as part of a project to rebuild the "Azzurri" following the disappointment of failing to qualify for the 2026 World Cup.

Katchamani, 20 years old, has caught attention this season after his impressive performance in the Italian second division league, making him a strong candidate for a chance with the national team during the upcoming training camp.

Sources close to the national team have confirmed that Baldini is clearly focusing on the youth and under-21 teams. He previously stated that he will primarily rely on young players in the friendlies against Luxembourg and Greece.

The Italian national team is scheduled to face Luxembourg on June 3, before playing against Greece on June 7. These two matches are expected to feature several new names wearing the Azzurri jersey.
