Officially.. Real Madrid Announces Approval of Enrique Riquelme's File

The electoral committee in Real Madrid announced in an official statement today, Sunday, the official endorsement of Enrique Jose Riquelme Vives' candidacy for the presidency of the club, after reviewing all documents and requirements related to his electoral file.

The official statement issued from the Spanish capital, Madrid, on Sunday, May 24, 2026, stated that the committee held its meeting with the presence of the committee's president, Jose Manuel de Carlos Grau, along with other members, where Riquelme's candidacy file, member number 41,736 of the club, was examined.

The committee confirmed that the candidate submitted all the required documents, which included the official candidacy letter, the list of proposed board members with their signatures and approvals, in addition to the electoral program and the bank guarantees stipulated in the club's regulations.

The committee pointed out a minor administrative error related to not updating the membership number of one of the members of the electoral list, Jose Olive Pena, but this did not affect the legal integrity of the file.

After reviewing all legal and electoral conditions, the committee unanimously decided to officially endorse Enrique Riquelme's candidacy, with a notification of acceptance sent to the email of the electoral list representative, according to the regulations governing the royal club's elections.
