Journalist 'Fabrizio Romano' confirmed that negotiations between Manchester United and Atalanta have reached an advanced stage, awaiting the final decision from the English club's management before officially completing the deal.

Ederson's decision to freeze all other talks is an important step in his potential move to Manchester United, as it gives the club a clear advantage to finalize the deal in the upcoming period.

Manchester United is looking for new support in the midfield, especially with Casemiro's departure approaching at the end of his contract, along with the club's dissatisfaction with the levels presented by Manuel Ugarte since joining the team.

Atletico Madrid was one of the main competitors for signing the Brazilian player, having reached a personal agreement with him, but the Spanish club was unable to meet Atalanta's financial demands, which range between 40 and 50 million euros, leading to its withdrawal from the race to sign the midfielder.
