Hoeneß Mocks Barcelona and Mourinho: Kane and Olise Not for Sale

Sunday 24-05-2026
Uli Hoeneß made fiery statements during his attendance at the German Cup final, affirming Bayern Munich's full commitment to striker Harry Kane, despite rumors linking him to a move to Barcelona in the near future.

Hoeneß said: "Bayern Munich is a club that buys players, not a club that sells them," before directly confirming that Kane will stay even if Barcelona makes an official offer, adding sarcastically: "Barcelona doesn't have any money anyway."

Hoeneß's statements did not stop there, as he also commented on the presence of José Mourinho in the stands watching Michael Olise, amid reports of interest in signing him for Real Madrid, which he is rumored to coach again.

The president of the Bavarian club responded in his usual manner, saying: "Even if he looked at it with five eyes, it wouldn't benefit him at all because it is not for sale."

Hoeneß's statements reflect Bayern's clear stance on not letting go of the team's stars, especially in light of the sports project the club is leading to compete domestically and in Europe in the coming seasons. His remarks also carried a direct message to interested clubs that Bayern does not intend to enter into any negotiations regarding its key players.
