Saudi Arabia's Preliminary List for the 2026 World Cup

Georgios Donis, the head coach of the Saudi national team, announced the preliminary list of players nominated to participate in the 2026 World Cup, as part of the 'Green Falcons' preparations for the tournament hosted by the United States, Mexico, and Canada.

This step is part of the early preparations for the Saudi team before embarking on the World Cup journey, with great anticipation from the fans to know the final shape of the list before the competitions begin.

The list featured a notable presence of several prominent names, led by Saud Abdulhamid and Salem Al-Dawsari, as they are considered key pillars within the team in recent times.

The list announced by the technical staff:

Goalkeepers: Nawaf Al-Aqidi (Al-Nassr) – Mohammed Al-Owais (Al-Ula) – Ahmed Al-Kassar (Al-Qadsiah) – Abdul Quddus Atiah (Al-Wehda).

Defense: Saud Abdulhamid (Lens) – Jihad Zakari (Al-Qadsiah) – Abdulilah Al-Omari (Al-Nassr) – Hassan Tambakti (Al-Hilal) – Ali Lajami (Al-Hilal) – Hassan Kadish (Al-Ittihad Jeddah) – Zakaria Hawsawi (Al-Ahli Jeddah).

The Saudi team is preparing to play two friendly matches against Ecuador and Senegal, as part of the World Cup preparation program.
