Spalletti Continues with Juventus and Sets Plan to Strengthen the Team
The Italian newspaper 'La Gazzetta dello Sport' revealed that Italian coach Luciano Spalletti will continue to lead Juventus even if the team fails to qualify for the Champions League, as he has set several main goals to strengthen the team during the upcoming summer transfer window, with Liverpool goalkeeper Alisson Becker at the forefront.
The newspaper explained that Spalletti will hold a meeting with Juventus owner John Elkann on Monday, following the end of the 2025/2026 Serie A season, noting that the coach had signed a contract extending until 2028 last April.
The report added that Spalletti's continuation with the team is not only linked to the season's results, as there are still discussions about the club's structure, amid incomplete agreement between the coach and CEO Damien Comolli regarding transfer matters.
According to the Italian newspaper, Spalletti plans to support the team with deals in every position during the transfer market, with Alisson being the primary target to reinforce the goalkeeping position, along with his interest in signing Bayern Munich defender Kim Min-jae, former Napoli player, in addition to midfielder Lobotka from Napoli.
The Italian coach also wishes to sign an attacking midfielder, with his support to renew the contract of Serbian striker Dusan Vlahovic, although his stay with the team remains uncertain if Juventus fails to secure a Champions League spot.
