Manchester City Plans to Honor Guardiola

Press reports have revealed that Manchester City intends to honor its Spanish coach Pep Guardiola in an unprecedented way, following his announcement to leave the team at the end of the current season.

According to Italian journalist Fabrizio Romano, Manchester City's management plans to name the newly developed and expanded North Stand at the Etihad Stadium after Pep Guardiola, in an honorary gesture recognizing his career with the club.

The same reports added that the club is also considering erecting a memorial for the veteran coach at the entrance of the Etihad Stadium, so he remains a permanent part of the club's history.

Pep Guardiola announced his departure from managing Manchester City at the end of the season, despite his contract still being in effect, stating that his decision came from a personal conviction that the time had come to leave.

Manchester City explained that Guardiola will continue his association with the club despite leaving his position as head coach, as he will take on the role of the club's global ambassador, participate in providing technical consultations for the City Football Group clubs, and contribute to specific projects and partnerships.
