Barcelona's Stance on Activating the Option to Buy Hamza Abdel Karim

The Spanish newspaper "Mundo Deportivo" reported that Barcelona intends to activate the option to purchase the Egyptian striker Hamza Abdel Karim from Al Ahly club for three million euros, with the possibility of the amount rising to five million euros as variables, according to the agreement between the two parties.

The newspaper explained that the player's call-up to the Egyptian national team for the World Cup, announced by coach Hossam Hassan, had a significant impact in Egypt as well as within Barcelona's youth system.

The report added that Hamza Abdel Karim, who is 18 years old, has not yet participated with the first team or Barcelona Athletic due to administrative reasons, despite joining the club last June on loan from Al Ahly of Egypt, with an option to buy.

The source pointed out that the player recently shone by scoring a hat-trick in his team's match against Monte Carlo, which ended in a big 9-0 victory, increasing interest in his future with the club.

The report indicated that Barcelona is seriously considering activating the purchase option, given the continuous monitoring of the player's development and capabilities.
