Hassan Shehata: I had high hopes for Zamalek's win in the Confederation
Hassan Shehata, the former Zamalek star, commented on the White Knights' victory in the Egyptian Premier League yesterday, Wednesday.
Zamalek won the league title after defeating Ceramica Cleopatra with a 1-0 victory in the seventh and final round of the Egyptian Premier League title decider stage.
Hassan Shehata said in statements on "On Sport" channel: "I had high hopes for Zamalek winning the African Confederation Cup, especially to resolve Zamalek's financial crises after receiving the large reward, but it was God's will."
He added, "All thanks to Moatamed Gamal, and he must be congratulated along with the players for this great achievement. Moatamed Gamal is a good coach, and I send my message to the players, telling them that they are champions."
