Bayern Munich Monitors Inter Milan Defender

Reports in Italy suggest that Bayern Munich is considering signing Inter Milan defender Jan Pisek during the summer transfer window, while the Italian club plans to strengthen its defense line with local league deals in case the player leaves.

This comes as Inter Milan is preparing for the departure of several of its defensive players, with Matteo Darmian and Francesco Acerbi set to leave at the end of their contracts in June, while the future of Stefan de Vrij, whose contract ends next month, is yet to be decided. The newspaper 'La Gazzetta dello Sport' also mentioned that another prominent player might be sold to facilitate new signings.

Alessandro Bastoni was previously linked with a move to Barcelona, but the Italian defender is now more likely to continue with Inter at San Siro. Meanwhile, reports indicate that Bayern Munich is interested in signing Pisek as an alternative option.

The 25-year-old German defender recently changed his agent, which the newspaper described as not coincidental. The player has also previously expressed his desire for more opportunities with the German national team, having only one international match so far.

Crystal Palace had shown interest in signing the player last summer but was not willing to exceed a value of 30 million euros. 'La Gazzetta dello Sport' explained that Inter has set a price close to 40 million euros this time, especially after winning the Italian league and Coppa Italia double in the 2025/2026 season.

In the event of any sale of a first-team defender, Inter plans to sign Tarik Muharimovic from Sassuolo, along with Omar Solet from Udinese, to compensate for any potential departures in the backline.
