Rashford Decides on His Stance Regarding Mourinho's Interest

The Spanish newspaper 'Mundo Deportivo' confirmed that Marcus Rashford is not thinking of leaving Barcelona in the near future, despite reports linking him to a move to Real Madrid following the approach of Portuguese Jose Mourinho to take over the royal team.

The newspaper pointed out that English reports talked about Mourinho's interest in signing Rashford, given the strong relationship that has connected them since their time together at Manchester United between 2016 and 2019, which has sparked controversy over the future of the English player.

'The Independent' reported that sources close to the matter believe that Mourinho may seek to include the Barcelona winger on loan from Manchester United, while Mundo Deportivo clarified that those close to the player confirmed his commitment to staying within the ranks of the Catalan club and not considering any other destination.

The Spanish newspaper added that Rashford is fully focused on continuing with Barcelona, and he has given clear instructions that his future should be tied only to the Catalan club, without looking at any other offers, even with his contract with Manchester United extending until June 2028.

Mundo Deportivo also explained that the current obstacle is Manchester United's insistence on the purchase option of 30 million euros, which is part of the loan agreement with Barcelona, at a time when the English club does not show a desire to agree to a new loan for an additional season.

The report indicated that Manchester United has other offers for the player from several clubs, including Aston Villa, but Rashford gives full priority to continuing in the Barcelona jersey.
