Endrick Bids Farewell to Lyon and Its Fans with an Emotional Message
The young Brazilian star Endrick sent a farewell message to Lyon and its fans after the end of his loan period to the French team from Real Madrid since last January.
Endrick wrote on his Instagram account: "In Brazil, when someone goes through a tough time, they say that person has to kill a lion every day. I have gone through months of circumstances that no athlete would wish to experience, but I decided that I wouldn't just kill a lion, I decided to become one."
He added: "Here I found what I needed to regain my strength, to follow my instinct to attack like a predator, and to defend the people who matter to me, who accompanied me, and who welcomed me here with open arms. Months of suffering and pain have given way to months of joy, victories, and also learning."
He continued: "I have made new friends, grown closer to those who were already with me, and discovered that our true place is where we are with those we love and who love us. For this reason, the time I spent with them and with you could undoubtedly make a movie."
He continued: "Unfortunately, even if it becomes stronger, the lion cannot stay in one place. I must now bid you farewell and begin the return journey, which will be much longer, as I am returning with far more bags and luggage than I had when I arrived."
He concluded: "Even when this journey ends, I will carry this city within me for the rest of my life, in my heart and in my memory, every time I see my son's smile, whom God blessed our family with here in Lyon."
Endrick is expected to be on Real Madrid's roster next season, especially with the arrival of Portuguese coach José Mourinho.
