In the second half, Brazilian Andre Santos reinforced the Blues' lead by scoring the second goal in the 67th minute, bringing his team closer to resolving the encounter, before Richarlison reduced the deficit for Tottenham by scoring their first goal in the 74th minute.

With this victory, Chelsea raised its tally to 52 points in eighth place in the English Premier League standings, while Tottenham's tally froze at 38 points in seventeenth place, continuing the team's disappointing results this season.
