Date of Enrique's Contract Extension with Paris Saint-Germain
The French club Paris Saint-Germain is moving towards extending the contract of its Spanish coach Luis Enrique with a long-term deal, following the outstanding results he has achieved with the team over the past two seasons.
Enrique took over coaching Paris Saint-Germain in July 2023, succeeding French coach Christophe Galtier, and since then he has successfully led the team to win several titles and compete strongly in all tournaments.
Italian journalist Fabrizio Romano confirmed on his account on the platform 'X' that negotiations between Paris Saint-Germain and Luis Enrique have reached very advanced stages, paving the way for signing a new contract in the coming period.
Romano pointed out that the official announcement of the contract renewal could happen soon, especially after the end of the UEFA Champions League final.
During his tenure with the Parisian club, Luis Enrique led the team in 173 matches, achieving 121 victories, 27 draws, and 25 defeats.
Paris Saint-Germain also succeeded in qualifying for the UEFA Champions League final for the second consecutive season, after surpassing Bayern Munich with a 6-5 aggregate score in the home and away matches.
On the domestic front, Paris Saint-Germain won the French league title for the 2025/2026 season, marking their fifth consecutive and fourteenth overall title, making them the most crowned club in the tournament's history.
Paris Saint-Germain is preparing to face Arsenal in the UEFA Champions League final on May 30 at the Puskás Aréna in the Hungarian capital, Budapest.
