According to what was published by the "Mirror" newspaper, Mariska, who previously worked within Guardiola's coaching staff and led the youth team at City, may benefit from his previous connections at Chelsea to recruit players from his former club.

Enzo Fernandez stands out as one of the names being discussed, having joined Chelsea in 2023 from Benfica, amid speculations about his future and the possibility of his departure this summer.

Levi Colwill's name also appears among the potential defensive options, as City looks to strengthen their defense with John Stones nearing departure, in addition to his connection with Maresca.

In the attack, João Pedro is considered an option due to his ability to play in multiple positions, despite the difficulty in signing him because of his long contract with Chelsea.
