Flick Approaches Breaking Record Held by Enrique with Barcelona

Hans Flick, the coach of Barcelona, is close to achieving a new record in his career with the Catalan team, as he is just one win away from surpassing Luis Enrique's record during his first two years as a coach in La Liga.

The newspaper 'Sport' mentioned that Flick is considered one of the most prominent technical acquisitions made by Barcelona in recent years, having been contracted with the support of club president Joan Laporta. He succeeded in quickly imposing his style within a young team supported by several strategic signings, which restored the team's dominance at the Spanish football level.

The results achieved by the German coach have confirmed the success of his project, as he won La Liga, the Copa del Rey, and the Spanish Super Cup in his first season, and continued in his second season by adding the league title and the Spanish Super Cup, despite facing limited setbacks in the UEFA Champions League, with indications of the team's readiness to return strongly on the European stage.

The newspaper pointed out that Flick's record against Real Madrid reflects a clear superiority, having won all the final encounters between the two teams in favor of Barcelona, in addition to winning three out of four matches in La Liga, with only one loss at the Santiago Bernabeu this season.

It also explained that Flick is close to matching and then surpassing the records of the most prominent coaches who have passed through the club, as his number of victories in the league has reached 59 out of 75 matches, a number that surpasses what Pep Guardiola achieved in his first two seasons with Barcelona, which was 58 victories.

In the same context, Flick equaled the record held by Luis Enrique in his first two years, with the possibility of breaking this record if Barcelona wins against Valencia at the Mestalla Stadium, where he will then reach 60 victories in his first 76 matches in the league, becoming the first coach to achieve this feat.
