Inter Secures Chievo with a New Contract

Inter Milan has resolved its stance on the future of Romanian coach Cristian Chivu, as the management has decided to retain him and begin steps to extend his contract in the near future.

According to Italian reports, a meeting is expected soon between Chievo and Inter's management to finalize the new agreement, given the great satisfaction within the club with the work the coach is doing with the team.

Sources indicated that the new contract will see a significant increase in the coach's salary, rising from 2 million euros annually to 3.5 million euros, in addition to bonuses linked to results and titles.

This move comes as part of the club owners "Oaktree's" plan to build a long-term project with Chievo, especially after the successes achieved with the team and its ability to establish a clear artistic identity within the group.

Reports also confirm that the Romanian coach will have a greater role in transfer market decisions in the coming phase, as part of the management's efforts to grant him broader authority in building the team for upcoming seasons.
