Barcelona Achieves a Historic Record in European Leagues

Monday 18-05-2026
Barcelona achieved a remarkable record by winning 19 out of 19 home matches in the league, marking an unprecedented achievement in the history of major European leagues, according to the Spanish newspaper "Mundo Deportivo."

Barcelona's victories this season came across three different stadiums, having played two matches at the Johan Cruyff Stadium, three matches at Montjuïc, and 14 matches at the Spotify Camp Nou, achieving a perfect record without any setbacks.

This achievement contributed to placing the team under coach Hans Flick in a historic list, as they became the third team in the major European leagues to achieve 19 wins out of 19 home matches, following Juventus in the 2013/2014 season and Saint-Étienne in the 1974/1975 season.

The report also noted that Barcelona has never achieved this figure in La Liga over 38 rounds, while the previous record in Spain was held by Real Madrid with 17 wins from 17 home matches in the 1985/1986 season.

At the European level, only a limited number of clubs have come close to this achievement, with clubs like Chelsea, Manchester United, Manchester City, and Liverpool winning 18 out of 19 home matches in the Premier League.

Statistics also showed that Barcelona scored 57 goals at home while conceding only 10, with 10 clean sheet matches, in addition to 15 victories with a margin of more than one goal.

Among the most notable home victories this season are the 2-0 win against Real Madrid, 3-1 against Atletico Madrid, 4-1 against Villarreal, and 3-1 against Real Betis, confirming the team's significant dominance at home this season.
