Al-Ahly club announced that its Danish coach, Jes Thorup, suffered a sudden health issue, necessitating his transfer to the hospital for necessary medical care, just a few days before the anticipated match against Al-Masry in the final round of the Egyptian Premier League.

Dr. Ahmed Gaballah, the team doctor, explained on the club's official website that the coach experienced sudden pain that required urgent medical intervention and his transfer to the hospital, where he underwent necessary examinations under the supervision of the medical staff.

The Al-Ahly doctor confirmed that the head coach's health condition is reassuring at the moment, noting that he is undergoing further tests and medical procedures to ensure his complete well-being.

Al-Ahly is preparing to face Al-Masry next Wednesday, May 20, in the final round of the Egyptian Premier League, in a match that holds great significance in the title race.

The competition for the league title is heating up between Zamalek, Pyramids, and Al Ahly until the final round. Zamalek tops the standings with 53 points, followed by Pyramids in second place with 51 points, while Al Ahly is in third with 50 points.

Zamalek needs to win or draw against its opponent to officially secure the title and claim the championship for the fifteenth time in its history, while Pyramids clings to its chance of winning if the leader falters, to snatch its first title.
