Shobeir: Zamalek is the Closest to the League... Pyramids and Al Ahly in a Complex Situation

The media personality Ahmed Shobeir sparked controversy regarding the race for the Egyptian Premier League title, asserting that Zamalek remains the favorite to clinch the championship, given its strong position before the final round of the competition.

During his radio program "With Shobeir" on "On Sport FM," Shobeir emphasized his firm belief about the league champion, explaining that Zamalek is very close to winning the title, as they only need one point from their next match to officially secure the championship.

He added, "I still see Zamalek as the closest and most likely to win the Egyptian league, as they only need a draw to secure the championship," while also noting that the match against Ceramica Cleopatra will not be easy, given the strength of the opponent and the difficulty of the anticipated encounter.

Shobier touched on Pyramids' situation, confirming that the team missed a valuable opportunity after their recent draw against Ceramica Cleopatra. They are now required to win their last match against Smouha and hope for Zamalek's loss to enter the title contention calculations.

As for Al Ahly, Shobeir explained that its position is the most complicated among all competitors, considering that its chances of competing for the title seem almost impossible at the moment.

He said, "Al Ahly's chance seems like a miracle at a time when there are no miracles," adding that the team needs to win against Al Masry, in addition to Pyramids stumbling and Zamalek losing, in order to snatch the Egyptian Premier League title in an extremely difficult scenario.
