Mamdouh Abbas Sends a Message to Zamalek Players
Mamdouh Abbas, the honorary president of Zamalek Club, sent a message to the white team's players following the loss of the African Confederation Cup title.
Zamalek lost the Confederation Cup title to Algeria's USM Alger in a penalty shootout with a score of 8-7, following a 1-1 draw in both the home and away matches.
Mamdouh Abbas wrote on his personal page on "X": "Let's not forget there is another very important championship absent from Zamalek Club's trophy cabinet since 2022. We hope to pay attention and not allow any lamentation or tearing of clothes."
He added: "Despite everything that happened yesterday, it is enough for Zamalek that it participated in this tournament and others with this heavy burden on the club and its fans."
Mamdouh Abbas concluded: "And greetings to the fans of Zamalek Club who gathered yesterday and supported the team until the very last moments."
