The Saudi Federation Appoints Welshman Matt Crocker as Executive Director of Football

The Saudi Arabian Football Federation announced the appointment of Welshman Matt Crocker as the Executive Director of Football, succeeding Moroccan Nasser Larguet after the completion of his tenure.

Crocker has extensive experience in developing football systems, having worked on building comprehensive technical models that focus on talent development and enhancing technical performance efficiency within football institutions.

The new official held significant positions in prominent organizations, including the English Football Association and the United States Soccer Federation, in addition to experiences with international clubs.

During his tenure with the English FA, he contributed to the implementation of the "England DNA" project, which enhanced the development of youth categories and helped achieve significant world and European championships.

He also led the "U.S. Way" project in the United States, which focused on unifying the artistic style, in addition to overseeing the establishment of an advanced national training center serving more than 27 teams.

Crocker is known for his role in developing academies, especially during his time with Southampton, where he contributed to discovering and nurturing many talents that shone on the global stage.

This appointment is part of the Saudi Federation's strategy to enhance technical work and build a sustainable system that aligns with the best international standards to support the future of football in the Kingdom.
