Duration of Mourinho's Contract with Real Madrid and Date of Official Announcement

The Spanish newspaper AS revealed that Real Madrid has reached a final agreement with Portuguese coach José Mourinho for his return to lead the team in the upcoming phase, with only the step of officially signing the contract remaining.

According to the report, barring any unforeseen circumstances, Mourinho will sign with Real Madrid until the summer of 2028, as part of a plan aimed at rebuilding the team technically and restoring stability within the club.

The newspaper pointed out that recent developments inside the locker room, along with a trophy-less season, prompted the club's management to bring back the Portuguese coach, considering him one of the strong solutions proposed within the offices of Valdebebas.

The official announcement of Mourinho's return to Real Madrid is expected to be made after the club's presidential elections, for which the candidacy closes on May 23, with Florentino Perez set to be re-elected if no other candidate appears in the upcoming period.

The Portuguese coach had confirmed in press statements that Benfica offered him a new contract, but he refused to sign it, stating that he would make his final decision regarding his future after today's last match for the team in the Portuguese league.
