Silva Remembers the Historic Victory Over Real Madrid

Portuguese star Bernardo Silva spoke about one of his standout moments in a Manchester City jersey, recalling the historic victory over Real Madrid in the 2023 UEFA Champions League semi-final.

In an interview with The Athletic, Silva recalled his celebration during the second leg match that ended with Manchester City's 4-0 victory, saying: "This is the Real Madrid match. If I could choose one game or one moment to relive, it would be that night."

He added: "The stadium was electrifying and the atmosphere was incredible. For me personally, this match might be one of the best memories I have with the club."

The Portuguese player continued his remarks, saying: "Due to the way we started the match and how we pressed them, Real Madrid was unable to string together three or four consecutive passes. To make a team like Real Madrid, the kings of Europe at the time, suffer in this way and then defeat them 4-0 at home was unbelievable for us."

Silva also affirmed that winning the UEFA Champions League was like achieving a dream the team had long awaited after years of frustration, explaining: "We have finally reached the dream we have strived for so much, and for me, winning the Champions League alongside the World Cup represents the pinnacle of glory in football."
