Anticipated Return of John Duran to Al-Nassr

Friday 15-05-2026
The Colombian forward John Duran is close to returning to the ranks of Al-Nassr club, after the end of his loan period with Zenit Saint Petersburg at the end of the current season.

This step comes in light of the Russian club's lack of intention to activate the option to purchase the player, which opens the door for his official return to the Saudi team in the upcoming period.

According to journalist Pepe Sierra, the loan contract does not include any clause that allows for a permanent deal, which gives Al-Nassr full control over the player's future.

Nevertheless, Duran is attracting interest from several European clubs seeking to sign him during the summer transfer market, but any official move will remain contingent on the approval of Al-Nassr's management.

The 22-year-old player is considered one of the most prominent emerging attacking talents, especially after his previous experience with Aston Villa before moving to Al-Nassr in a major deal at the beginning of 2025.

Since joining, Duran has delivered remarkable performances, scoring 8 goals in 13 matches in the Roshen League, confirming his high scoring abilities and impact within the penalty area.

Al-Nassr fans are eagerly anticipating the player's return, amid hopes that he will be a strong addition to the attacking line in the next season, in light of the club's ambitions to compete for all championships.
