All Roshan League Clubs Obtain Local and Asian Licenses
The Saudi Professional League has achieved an exceptional milestone, as it announced that all 18 clubs in the league have obtained both local and Asian licenses for the 2023-2024 sports season.
This decision came following an official meeting of the specialized committee, which reviewed the reports and recommendations submitted by the Club Licensing Administration, in addition to a comprehensive review of all files through the electronic system (CLAS).
The committee ensured that the clubs met all mandatory criteria, which include sporting, administrative, financial, and legal aspects, in addition to infrastructure requirements.
This achievement is the first of its kind since the implementation of the club licensing system in the 2012-2013 season, as clubs have never before achieved a 100% success rate in this manner.
This reflects the significant development in the level of club readiness, especially with the increase in the number of required criteria this season from 50 to 68 across various fields.
The association affirmed that this success reflects the clubs' commitment to applying the highest standards of professionalism, in addition to the significant role played by licensing administrations and club development in supporting the system.
She explained that the club licensing system is one of the fundamental pillars for enhancing institutional stability by setting clear standards that ensure sustainability and improve the efficiency of operations within the clubs.
The system also contributes to creating a more professional competitive environment, which directly reflects on the quality of performance both on and off the field, thereby enhancing the strength of the Saudi league on various levels.
