Flick's Contract Renewal Date with Barcelona

The German coach Hansi Flick has finalized his last steps towards continuing with FC Barcelona, as he is expected to sign his new contract with the Catalan team next Monday, after being given the green light to hold the official signing ceremony at the club's headquarters.

The newspaper "Sport" revealed that Flick's new contract will extend until 2028, with an option for an additional year, in a move that reflects the great confidence the Barcelona management places in the technical project led by the German coach.

The newspaper indicated that the signing ceremony will take place at midday on Monday, with the presence of club president Joan Laporta and members of the board, following the team's return from the match against Valencia scheduled for Sunday evening.

In the same context, the report clarified that Barcelona's management considers Flick's continuation a strategic priority, given the success he has achieved since taking over, both in terms of technical performance and restoring stability within the locker room.

As "Sport" clarified, the two parties had reached a verbal agreement some time ago, but the official announcement was delayed until after the conclusion of local competitions, before a final agreement was reached to sign the contract this week.
