Perez: Renewing Vinicius' Contract is Not My Job, and I Won't Sign Yamal

Real Madrid president Florentino Perez appeared in a media interview with the famous Spanish journalist Josep Pedrerol, where he discussed various issues, including the possibility of signing Lamine Yamal and renewing Vinicius' contract.

Perez spoke about Kylian Mbappe's commitment: "Mbappe is a player owned by Real Madrid currently. He has won the golden boot, and that wouldn't be without scoring goals. But there are things that need to be improved. We are hurt because of the Champions League, and the referee they appointed for us... He continued: "Is the relationship with Barcelona over? Yes, completely over. I don't want any relationship with a club that paid referees for two decades. I want the judiciary to move."

Regarding the renewal of Vinicius' contract: "Renewing contracts is not my job... For me, Vinicius is one of the greatest players Real Madrid has. The last two Champions League titles were won by him, there is no rush to renew his contract, we have the whole season to talk. You think I control everything, but the file for renewing Vinicius' contract is handled by the sports management."

On signing Mourinho: "I didn't talk to Mourinho even when he came here in the Champions League match against Benfica."

He continued: "Do you want a direct debate with another candidate? I have never had a direct debate before. Let him run and appear. And provide his financial guarantee, which should be in his name. I want to end this chaos and return things to normal."

He concluded about Barcelona's star Lamine Yamal: "Do you like Lamine Yamal? Yes, of course, how could I not? But I can't sign him... No, no... We are in a tense situation with Barcelona right now, imagine if we did that!"
