Press reports have revealed that Como FC is considering signing Juventus player Andrea Cambiaso during the summer transfer window, as part of its efforts to increase the number of Italian players in its squad in preparation for the upcoming European participation.

According to what was published by "La Gazzetta dello Sport," Como needs additional local players to comply with UEFA's club roster rules, which allow for the registration of 25 players, including at least 8 local players.

The report indicated that Como will participate in one of the European competitions in the 2026/2027 season, after securing a finish in the current Italian league season in no lower than sixth place, without specifying which tournament they will compete in.

He explained that the team includes a limited number of Italian players, with Edoardo Goldaniga being the most involved this season with only 104 minutes.

The newspaper also quoted the club's president, Mirwan Suwarso, confirming that the club is working on signing Italian players despite their high prices and the difficulty of contracting with them.

Regarding Cambiasso, the report indicated that Como admires his versatility and ability to play as both a full-back and a winger. However, the player is considered a key element at Juventus under the leadership of Luciano Spalletti, who does not plan to let him go at the moment.
