Lewandowski on Porto's Radar Amidst Speculation About His Future with Barcelona

Portuguese press reports reveal, according to 'Sport TV' and 'Sapo' newspapers, that the Polish striker Robert Lewandowski has not yet decided on his future, while Barcelona is considering renewing his contract for an additional season without reaching a final agreement so far.

According to the same sources, Porto is considering signing Lewandowski to be the standout name in their attack line, amid the possibility of Luuk de Jong's departure, as part of a plan to restructure the team's forward line.

The report indicated that the Portuguese club sees Lewandowski as a significant technical addition, along with the ability to play the role of leader and mentor to young players, especially with some Polish players in the team.

On the other hand, the source clarified that the player's options remain open, with his agent Pini Zahavi holding talks with several clubs, including Milan and Juventus in Italy, and Chicago Fire in the American league, in addition to ongoing interest from Saudi league clubs with strong financial offers.

The report added that Lewandowski feels comfortable in Barcelona on a personal level, given his family stability in the city, along with his good relationship with several teammates like Wojciech Szczesny.

On the sporting level, the player wishes to hold a meeting with coach Hans Flick to determine his role in the upcoming season, as he prefers to continue as a key player, while keeping all other options open, including experiencing a less pressured phase in the next stage of his career.
