Real Madrid in Advanced Negotiations with Mourinho

The Italian journalist Fabrizio Romano revealed that negotiations between Real Madrid and the Portuguese coach José Mourinho are witnessing advanced developments during the current period, with direct communications having already begun between the two parties to explore the possibility of the coach's return to the royal club.

Romano clarified that the management of Portuguese club Benfica is keen on retaining Mourinho and wants him to stay at any cost. However, they are also aware of serious moves from Real Madrid to sign the Portuguese coach.

Romano added that the final decision will remain in the hands of club president Florentino Perez, who will decide whether or not the Portuguese coach will return.

Mourinho had previously denied any negotiations or contacts with Real Madrid, but recent reports have reignited the debate about the possibility of his return to lead the team in the upcoming phase.

It is noted that the Portuguese coach managed Real Madrid between 2010 and 2013, during which he won the Spanish League title, the Copa del Rey, and the Spanish Super Cup.
