Meeting in Valdebebas to Discuss New Real Madrid Coach

The Spanish newspaper "AS" revealed that Florentino Perez, the president of Real Madrid, held a meeting with the club's board members on Monday morning in Valdebebas to discuss several issues within the club, including the matter of the team's new coach.

According to the Spanish newspaper, Real Madrid's management considers Portuguese coach José Mourinho as the main option to take over the team's leadership, as the club seeks to make deep and urgent changes following the aftermath of the El Clásico defeat.

The newspaper confirmed that Mourinho denied having any contact with Real Madrid during statements he made over the weekend, but he remains the leading candidate to return to his former position, with other possibilities still being considered within the club.

The same source indicated that Real Madrid's management does not wish to prolong the current situation, despite Mourinho's commitment to finishing the season with Benfica. It was clarified that negotiations may accelerate in the coming days, amid expectations of the Portuguese coach's return to Valdebebas after 13 years.

The meeting also addressed the issue of sports instability within the team and the locker room, especially after the penalties and fines imposed on Federico Valverde and Aurélien Tchouaméni, in a crisis that the newspaper described as still under control for now.
