Mourinho: I Have Not Communicated with Real Madrid, All That Happens is Just Speculation

Portuguese coach Jose Mourinho denied in a press conference the recent reports claiming that he had communicated with Real Madrid to take over the team's coaching, and that he had set conditions for agreeing to return to coach the royal club.

The coach said: "In the world of football, it is not the professionals who have an interest in going or not going somewhere, those who want to sign a player or a coach are the clubs that are interested, and the clubs are the ones that initiate the procedures to try to get the people they want."

He added: "They are still talking about Real Madrid and I continue to evade, but I evade with complete honesty; I have never communicated with Real Madrid, neither with the president nor with any of the people from the administrative structure."

He continued: "For me, I have made decisions in similar situations throughout my career, where I cannot talk to anyone especially with the end of the season approaching."

He emphasized: "I have not had any contact with Real Madrid, it never happened, and until the last league match against Estoril, there will be no communication either."

He concluded: "After the end of the season, I will have a week during which I can talk to those I see I should talk to, but all the stories that appeared about my conditions and that there are meetings... etc., are all just speculation."
