Pep Guardiola, the manager of Manchester City, appeared in a press conference following the 3-0 victory over Brentford in the 36th round of the English Premier League, held at the Etihad Stadium.

The coach said, "We played against a very strong opponent. We struggled in the opening minutes with their counterattacks, set pieces, and throw-ins, but we played a very good match after that. Especially on the left side in the first half, and from both sides in the second half."

He added, "Jeremy [Doku] is an outstanding player in many aspects. In the second half, we increased our presence in the penalty area, unlike the first half, and that's what caused us difficulties. In the end, we achieved a good result and we will continue our journey."

He continued: "Doku seems like a fully ready player, and he can certainly develop further. He has always had this amazing ability to dribble, create plays, and connect, which is wonderful. But now, this translates into decisive match outcomes. I am very happy to have a player who brings vitality to the team and can score goals."

Regarding Arsenal: "We'll see, it's not in our hands. We'll do our duty. We didn't perform perfectly against Everton, we'll do our duty and wait."

He concluded: "The players not giving up? Yes, the Everton match was a great example, being down 3-1, and our reactions. In the second half, we overcommitted in defense. This happened many times last season, and now we are more cohesive, but we still overcommit in defense. This is football; the important thing is the reaction. I am happy with how we handled the situation."
