Spanish media reports have revealed new developments regarding the future of Argentine international Julian Alvarez, the Atletico Madrid striker, amid links to the possibility of leaving the club during the upcoming summer transfer window.

According to 'Cadena SER' radio, Atletico Madrid's management believes that Alvarez may request to leave the team this summer, which could open the door for several clubs to enter negotiations to sign the Argentine striker.

Press reports have linked the player with moves to Barcelona and Arsenal, with the Catalan club prioritizing Alvarez to strengthen their attacking line.

The 26-year-old joined Atletico Madrid in the summer of 2024 from Manchester City, in a deal valued at 75 million euros.

Alvarez has participated in 49 matches with Atletico Madrid during the current season, being one of the key players under coach Diego Simeone, scoring 20 goals and providing 9 assists.

The Argentine striker's contract with Atletico Madrid extends until the summer of 2030, while his market value is estimated at 90 million euros.
