The newspaper 'Mundo Deportivo' revealed that the altercation involving Aurélien Tchouaméni and Federico Valverde in Valdebebas has become a topic of discussion inside the Barcelona dressing room, ahead of the anticipated El Clásico match against Real Madrid.

According to the report, Barcelona players and the coaching staff have been discussing the details of the incident over the past few days, especially after it gained significant attention, in addition to Real Madrid being the team's next opponent in the league.

The newspaper added that the information reached Barcelona through parties connected to players from both teams, noting that the majority of the Catalan team's players believe Valverde bears the greater responsibility for the incident, according to the circulated details.

It also pointed out that Valverde is known for his strong style in matches against Barcelona, in addition to the incident of his assault on Alex Baena in the Santiago Bernabéu parking lot in April 2023, along with the incident of punching Samuel Dal in the match between Benfica and Real Madrid in the Champions League.

On the other hand, the newspaper clarified that Tchouaméni is viewed as a strong player on the field, but he does not have a record of unsportsmanlike behavior like Valverde and Antonio Rüdiger, who previously slapped his teammate Álvaro Carreras inside the dressing room.

Barcelona players also discussed the message Valverde posted on Instagram, which the newspaper said contained contradictions in his account of the events, along with spelling and grammatical errors.

Despite the atmosphere surrounding Real Madrid, the newspaper confirmed that Barcelona does not underestimate its opponent before El Clásico, given the Catalan team's need for just one point to retain the league title.
