The "Youm7" newspaper reported that Al Ahly's coaching staff, led by Jes Torup, decided to start goalkeeper Mohamed El-Shenawy in the match against Al-Masry Al-Portsaidi in the league.
Al Ahly will face Al Masry Al Port Said on Wednesday, May 20th, in the seventh round of the Egyptian Premier League title playoffs.
The newspaper explained that this decision comes after the recent injury sustained by Mostafa Shobeir.
Dr. Ahmed Gaballah, Al-Ahly's doctor, announced that Mostafa Shobeir underwent an MRI scan following the recent match against Enppi, which revealed a strain in the lower part of the hamstring muscle.
Gaballah revealed that Mostafa Shobeir has started a treatment and rehabilitation program set by the medical team, which is scheduled to be implemented in the coming period.
